This weekend of HOPE FULL camping is to support The Apricity Hope Project. AHP is a Hampton Roads based nonprofit organization that cares for caregivers of medically complex, disabled children. AHP offers restorative retreats for caregivers, care(giver) packages and hospital go-bags for moms and dads in the pediatric intensive care unit with their children. Apricity Hope Project has also continued the efforts of the Geoghegan family in raising awareness and funding for mitochondrial disease research. Learn more about our mission, our founder and our community here!
camp: HOPE FULL is happening at Holiday TRAV-L Park and campground in Virginia Beach, VA. The address is 1075 General Booth Blvd, Virginia Beach, VA 23451
If you are camping – you MUST checkin with the campground first to get your assigned site/cabin. When you drive into the campground, they have their office on the right hand side at the entrance.
After you get settled at your cabin, campsite, etc then come find our teal tent! This is the AHP Headquarters tent for the weekend. It is where you can buy concessions, merch, pick up pre-orders and more. This tent is located at RV site 36. Check in here for all of your camp: HOPE FULL info.
Weekend and Day passes are SOLD OUT. Concert tickets are still available! You can buy those here: https://givebutter.com/c/HOPEFULL24
Hope Full Concert tickets only include the concert. Bring your own dinner and beverages, blanket or chairs to sit on.
HOPE FULL Weekend and Day passes include dinner on Saturday night.
Since so much IS included in your passes, it may be easier to tell you what is NOT included:
– Lunch is NOT included but is available at our concession booth
– Wine tasting is not included
– Ice cream sundae is not included
– Auction items, raffle tickets and keys to the cooler are extra too
– Shirts for tie-dye are not included. But we have all the other supplies you will need! So bring your own white shirt!
If your guest bought tickets – sure! If your guest did not buy a ticket, they are invited to join us for the day, but they cannot participate in the craft activities or get the food that is included in the passes. They are more than welcome to participate in the auction and raffles, to help us raise more money and awareness! And yes, feel free to bring your pets as long as they are friendly and on leashes!
Please note that we serve a community of families where many of them are severely immunocompromised. We are not requiring guests to wear a mask since we are outside. But if you are sick, please mask.
Absolutely! You can make donations in several ways that you can find here!
Yep! The silent auction is online and in-person at camp. The auction will open online on Wednesday April 10 at 6PM. The auction will close on Saturday April 13 at 4PM. You do not have to be present to win an auction item. If you are not at camp: HOPE FULL to claim your item, you must arrange pickup in Suffolk or Norfolk within 7 days. Here is the link for the silent auction.
If you are staying at Holiday TRAV-L Park with us for the weekend, you should have booked your cabin, cottage, RV site or tent site already. Accommodations vary depending on what you have booked. You can learn more about accommodations on the Holiday TRAV-L Website here.
We have everything you need for the weekend’s activities EXCEPT:
– Bring a white shirt for tie dye (unless you pre-ordered a 2024 shirt – that will be waiting for you when you check-in to camp)
– Umbrellas, chairs and blankets to sit on! If you do not have a campsite or cabin, feel free to bring an umbrella for shade, and things to sit on!
The Deloreans, a local 80s cover band, will start playing at 6PM. They will take a 15 minute break halfway through the show. The concert will be under the pavilion. Dinner will also be served by the pavilion. This is a short walk from where the rest of our event will be happening (by the RV sites 36-37).
Absolutely! BYOB and BYOS (bring your own snackies).
This is your weekend! We know that everyone has busy schedules. Participate in whatever floats your boat. You can also take advantage of the campground amenities like the swimming pool and putt-putt!
Saturday night’s dinner is southern pork BBQ! Sides include Mac+Cheese, green beans, cole slaw, etc. The BBQ is Gluten Free!
Dress comfortably! This is a campout! Remember that it is April in Virginia Beach… so wear layers and be prepared for the possibility of a little rain. For the concert, we are asking everyone to dress up in fun 80s outfits. (This is obviously not required but we are giving a prize to the best dressed person!)
We have merch for sale this year! Check out our teal tent for all of the shirts and swag we have available! If we do not have your size, you can order it and have it shipped directly to your home!
Send an email to hello@apricityhope.org and we will get back with you ASAP. Please keep in mind that this week is a bit hectic and we are trying to respond to everyone. We cannot wait to camp with you this weekend!
Your ticket is digital. You should have received a confirmation email but if you cannot find it – it’s okay! We should have your name in our system. Come to our AHP Headquarters Tent (It’s a teal EZ up tent on RV site 36) and we will give you your camp welcome packet, bracelets and everything else you need for the weekend.
