Episode 28: Fridays With Lorelei
Thank you for your understanding as we have taken a break from WAC. As most of you know, Susan’s daughter Lorelei earned her angel wings last week. Today, in a raw and unedited conversation, Susan is opening up her heart and talking about Lorelei’s passing. We will return when our hearts are ready, with more interviews. In the meantime, join us on Facebook as we celebrate sweet Lorelei.

Thank you. The burial office in the Episcopal Prayer Book is titled “A Celebration of Life”. So glad to hear you will continue Friday’s with Lorelei, Stars for Benji. I have always found it interesting there is no name for the loss of your child. I’ve pondered we should turn a color so all would know to be kind to us. All the people I know who have lost a child have those thoughts of what they did or didn’t do that contributed to their death. That seems to diffuse over time and the “missing” them intensifies to the point I believe we will one day learn how to measure it and identify the part of ourselves that went with them. Peace be with you and your family.
Susan,
You are an inspiration, and I love you. I really am in awe of your strength and faith. My heart aches for you. Little Lorelei was an angel on earth.
That hand squeeze 💚
Susan, I admire your strength and courage! I will continue to pray for Your family. Lorelei was a sweetheart and I am thankful that I followed her tough short journey. I hope you can find some peace in knowing that she is well, whole and walking with Jesus🙏
Susan – you know the number Seven has great significance according to the scholars, throughout the bible. Seven is the number of completeness and perfection. Seven is the God’s favorite number. This was his day of rest, after creating all things for six days. 💚💚 7-7 God needed your Doodle, so she could rest… Yes, so many people loved Lorelei, she has touched so many people. Lorelei was letting you know everything will be alright, when she squeezed your hand. You and Your family gave this child so much love. Thank you for sharing your journey with us.
Thank you for sharing Susan. I am sure it was very hard. Beautiful, touching and so inspiring. Lorelei’s story will continue on.
I don’t know you, but I stumbled across your story and I just wanted to let you know your story is incredible!! I can’t imagine the pain you have felt but I am so grateful that you have the peace of the Holy Spirit during this incredibly trying time!! He is the only true comforter during tragedy.
