Join Our Leadership Family

You Belong at the Table

It takes a village to care for the caregivers — and at The Apricity Hope Project, our leadership family is made up of people who bring their skills, heart, and lived experience to help us grow our mission.

Whether you’re passionate about guiding our organization’s vision, rolling up your sleeves to make programs and fundraising thrive, or walking alongside fellow caregivers, there’s a place for you here.

Ways to Lead with The Apricity Hope Project

We offer three unique leadership paths, each essential to bringing hope, restoration, and connection to caregivers of medically complex and disabled children:

  • Board of Directors: Our governing body, focused on legal and financial oversight, strategic planning, and safeguarding the mission.
  • Impact Circle: Our powerhouse of action and ideas, helping expand our reach, build resources, and strengthen community connections.
  • SunSeekers Circle: Caregivers and alumni of our programs who use their lived experience to welcome, support, and inspire others.

Board of Directors

The Board of Directors is the governing body of The Apricity Hope Project. Board members are trusted stewards of our mission, responsible for ensuring legal and financial integrity, setting strategic direction, and safeguarding the organization’s long-term sustainability. They bring professional expertise, community connections, and a passion for serving caregivers of medically complex and disabled children. While governance is their primary role, our board members are also active ambassadors — helping fundraise, build relationships, and champion our programs.

What this means in practice:

  • Attend quarterly board meetings (virtual or in-person as scheduled).
  • Serve a defined term of service as outlined in our bylaws.
  • Participate actively in fundraising — including securing donations, sponsorships, or event support — and make a personally significant annual gift.
  • Review and approve the annual budget and major organizational decisions.
  • Bring your expertise, network, and enthusiasm to help grow AHP’s mission.

Impact Circle

The Impact Circle is our powerhouse of action and ideas — a dynamic group of leaders, advocates, and changemakers who help drive the mission forward. Members meet monthly to focus on growing AHP’s reach, building resources, and strengthening our connection to the caregiver community. They represent AHP at events, connect us to donors and sponsors, provide feedback on programs, and roll up their sleeves to make fundraising efforts and community outreach successful. While they don’t vote on governance matters, Impact Circle members play an essential leadership role in advancing our mission.

What this means in practice:

  • Attend monthly meetings (virtual or in-person).
  • Help identify and connect potential donors, sponsors, and partners.
  • Participate in fundraising campaigns, events, or sponsorship efforts.
  • Represent AHP at community events and programs.
  • Offer feedback and ideas for improving and expanding programs.
  • Serve as a welcoming and trusted face of AHP in your networks.

SunSeekers Circle

The SunSeekers Circle is made up of caregivers and alumni of our programs who know firsthand the power of hope, restoration, and connection. These passionate advocates share their stories, welcome new caregivers into the AHP community, and help extend our reach to families who need to know they’re not alone. SunSeekers bring warmth, empathy, and lived experience to everything they do — whether it’s representing AHP at events, mentoring fellow caregivers, or supporting outreach efforts.

What this means in practice:

  • Attend occasional check-ins or gatherings (virtual or in-person).
  • Welcome and mentor new caregivers in our programs.
  • Share your story (when comfortable) to inspire and encourage others.
  • Represent AHP at community events or outreach activities.
  • Support program recruitment by connecting caregivers who could benefit.
  • Bring positive energy, empathy, and community spirit to every interaction.
