Autumn Skies…

Since there are so many new faces around here, we want to be sure you know about the AHP @WhenAutumnComesPodcast. This podcast was started two years before the Apricity Hope Project began. Created by two mito mamas, Susan and Diane, to share stories and connect caregivers across the world.

A fun fact about the name:

When Autumn Comes Podcast helped us name the Apricity Hope Project. When the podcast began, we talked about how autumn is the time of the year when the days become darker and colder. Yet there are still those beautiful golden leaves and picture perfect sunsets. Just like medical motherhood… the days are longer and darker than we ever imagined they would be. But oh how the love and joys are more beautiful and brighter than we ever expected.

Also since Diane is from Minnesota, when she says the word Autumn it sounds a bit like “Otim” to Suz. Turn that word around and it spells Mito.

And since Suz is a huge fan of words and marketing, when she found the word Apricity (meaning the warmth of the sun in the winter) she knew this was the direction the project needed to go.

Because really, this caregiving life is full of seasons. Sometimes four seasons in one day. All unique and loved for their own individual beauty.
