camp: HOPE FULL 2026 FAQ
It’s a big weekend and we know you have a lot of questions!

Additionally, we will have our CAMP QUICK LINKS (link coming soon) that we recommend you save on your phone for easy access all weekend long!
If you still have questions – let us know! We are here to help!
Camp: HOPE FULL is the largest annual fundraiser for The Apricity Hope Project, a Hampton Roadsโbased nonprofit that supports caregivers of medically complex and disabled children.
We believe that if we want children to be cared for well, we must also care for their parents.
Funds raised during this weekend directly support:
โข Restorative retreats at The Apricity Hideaway
โข Hope Mail (care packages for hospital caregivers)
โข PICU & NICU Go Bags
โข The When Autumn Comes podcast
โข Year-round caregiver connection and support
The Apricity Hope Project also continues the Geoghegan familyโs advocacy and fundraising efforts for mitochondrial disease research.
This weekend isnโt just camping.
Itโs community-powered care.
Our 2026 theme is inspired by classic 80s camp energy โ think colorful, comfy, nostalgic, and a little chaotic.
If you grew up with Fraggle Rock, you already understand the vibe:
๐ Bright colors
๐ Rainbows
๐ Mixed patterns
๐ Oversized sweatshirts
๐ Retro windbreakers
๐ Playful, joyful, slightly goofy camp magic
Our unofficial motto this year?
โCamp your cares away โ worries for another day.โ

What do you do with the theme?
Lean in as much โ or as little โ as youโd like.
โจ Plan an 80s-inspired outfit for the HOPE FULL Concert on Saturday (Best Dressed Award ๐)
โจ Decorate your campsite
โจ Decorate your cabin
โจ Bring rainbow energy
โจ Go full retro chaos
Weโll be awarding:
๐ Best Dressed (Concert)
๐ Best Decorated Campsite
๐ Best Decorated Cabin
And of courseโฆ neon green.
Camp: HOPE FULL is always rocking neon green in honor of our connection to mitochondrial disease awareness.
Neon green represents the children who inspire this weekend โ and the mission that fuels it.
So if 80s retro isnโt your thing?
Just bring the green ๐
Participation is completely optional โ but creativity is highly encouraged.

Pets
Yes โ pets are welcome according to campground rules.
Please ensure your pet:
โข Is leashed at all times
โข Is friendly and comfortable around children
โข Is supervised at all times
Many children attending have medical complexities and sensitivities, so we ask everyone to be mindful and respectful of shared space.
Camp: HOPE FULL serves many families whose children are medically complex and immunocompromised.
Because this is primarily an outdoor event, masks are not required.
However, we ask all attendees to use thoughtful discretion:
โข If you are feeling sick, please stay home.
โข Practice good hand hygiene.
โข Be respectful of personal space.
Some families may choose to mask, avoid close contact, or keep distance โ and we fully support that.
At Camp: HOPE FULL, we lead with kindness and consideration for one another.
Absolutely ๐
Camp: HOPE FULL is the largest annual fundraiser for The Apricity Hope Project, and you do not need to attend to make an impact.

๐ Auction Closes: Saturday, March 21, 2026 at 4:30 PM

If you are staying at Holiday TRAV-L Park with us for the weekend, you should have booked your cabin, cottage, RV site or tent site already. Accommodations vary depending on what you have booked. You can learn more about accommodations on the Holiday TRAV-L Website here.
We provide almost everything youโll need for Camp: HOPE FULL crafts and activities โ just come ready to create ๐
The one exception:
๐จ Tie-Dye
Please bring a white (or light-colored) shirt to dye.
OR
Pre-order a Camp: HOPE FULL shirt in advance and it will be waiting for you at check-in.
We also recommend bringing:
โข Camp chairs or blankets for seating
โข Umbrellas or shade coverage for daytime activities
โข Layers (March evenings can be chilly)
โข Sunscreen
Day Campers
If you are attending with a Saturday Day Pass, you are welcome to bring an EZ-Up tent or large umbrella to create a comfortable home base in our event area for the day.
Set up shade. Get cozy. Stay awhile.
If you or your child use adaptive tools for crafting or seating, please feel free to bring whatever works best for you.
๐ค Friday Night (March 20 | 6โ8PM)
Join us near Camp HQ (Campsite 38 area) for:
โข Firepit
โข Sโmores
โข Campsite Karaoke
Weather and wind permitting, weโll gather outdoors for a cozy kickoff night to start the weekend together.
๐ถ Saturday HOPE FULL Concert
March 21 | 2โ4PM
Weโre thrilled to welcome back everyoneโs favorite 80s cover band โ The Deloreans!
Yes. Break out the neon.
Yes. Big hair encouraged.
โจ Important Update for 2026:
In previous years, our concert has taken place in the evening. To better accommodate families with young children and medically complex needs, weโve moved the concert to the afternoon this year.
๐ HOPE FULL Concert Location
The Saturday concert will take place at the campgroundโs outdoor movie area, near our main Camp: HOPE FULL event space.
This is new for 2026 โ in past years, weโve used the back pavilion. This year (weather permitting), weโll be outdoors and closer to all activities.
๐ง Rain Plan:
If weather becomes an issue, the entire Camp: HOPE FULL event โ including the concert โ will move to the pavilion in the back of the campground.
Weโll communicate any weather-related changes clearly and promptly.
Absolutely! BYOB and BYOS (bring your own snackies).
This is your weekend ๐
You are never required to participate in every activity. Join what feels fun. Skip what doesnโt. Rest when you need to.
Camp: HOPE FULL is designed to be flexible โ especially for families navigating medical schedules, energy levels, and unpredictability.
You are welcome to:
โข Come and go throughout the weekend
โข Take breaks at your campsite or cabin
โข Leave and return as needed
โข Enjoy campground amenities like the covered pool, dog park, playgrounds, and putt-putt
There is no โrightโ way to do camp.
Show up. Wander. Craft. Sit by the fire. Take a nap. Repeat.
Saturday nightโs dinner will be burrito bowls provided by Hackers Bar & Grille ๐ฏ
Weโll have:
โข Protein options
โข A variety of burrito bowl toppings
โข Build-your-own flexibility
โจ Important: This is a pre-order only meal.
Dinner must be purchased in advance for $15 per person. We will not have additional meals available for purchase onsite.
Pre-ordering helps us:
โข Plan accurate quantities
โข Reduce food waste
โข Keep ticket prices lower
If you did not pre-order dinner, you are welcome to bring your own meal or explore local options.
Dress comfortably โ this is camp, not couture ๐
Itโs March in Virginia Beach, so layers are your best friend. Be prepared for sunshine, wind, cooler evenings, and the possibility of rain.
We recommend:
โข Comfortable clothes
โข Sneakers or closed-toe shoes
โข Layers (flannels, hoodies, windbreakers)
โข A rain jacket, just in case
๐ถ Concert + Camp Theme Vibes
This yearโs vibe is inspired by classic 80s camp energy โ think Fraggle Rock, not nightclub.
Colorful. Playful. A little nostalgic. A little chaotic.
Bright colors, mixed patterns, vintage camp tees, leg warmers, oversized sweatshirts โ all welcome.
If it looks like you could โdance your cares awayโ in itโฆ youโre doing it right.
Dressing up is completely optional โ but we will be giving a small prize for best dressed ๐
Camp casual is always correct. Campy 80s magic just makes it more fun.
We have merch for sale this year! Check out our teal tent for all of the shirts and swag we have available! If we do not have your size, you can order it and have it shipped directly to your home!
